Background
According to a 2013 study conducted by the Wallace Foundation, ( Leadership Matters, 2013) the Educational Leader is one of the most important factors in the success of a school. In today's schools , it has become increasingly important to provide quality training to school leaders to ensure that ALL students can achieve success.
Mesa Educational Consulting was created by Monica Mesa, an experienced educator with nearly 30 years of work in Education. Her passion is working with school leaders to develop and enhance skills that contribute to their effectiveness and success.
At Mesa Educational Consulting, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of Arizona students through quality professional development of school Principals and Leaders.
Monica's
Experience
Monica has been an Arizona educator for 30 years. She began her teaching career in a low income district in West Phoenix teaching Bilingual Education. Ms. Mesa completed her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership in 1996 and began her career as a School Administrator in 1998. Ms. Mesa has served as an Assistant Principal, Principal, Principal Coach, University Instructor and currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of East Elementary schools in Mesa Public Schools, the largest school district in Arizona where she supervises 26 elementary schools.
Monica received the 2017 Principal of the Year award from the Mesa Independent Professional Educators Association for her leadership in Mesa Public Schools. During her tenure as a school Principal, Ms. Mesa led Keller Elementary to A+ School of Excellence in 2015 and was later assigned to Longfellow Elementary as a turnaround principal where she worked with staff to improve school culture and student achievement for the highest minority and lowest socio economic school in Mesa. As a Principal Supervisor Ms. Mesa coaches school leaders toward school improvement, she has developed the Leadership Development Pipeline for Mesa Public Schools and is continuously seeking ways to assist and support Principals improve their skills.
In 2017 Ms. Mesa established Mesa Educational Consulting LLC, in order to pursue her passion of leadership coaching and development. Ms. Mesa has two children who attend ASU and outside of work she enjoys hiking various trails around the state of Arizona.

Consultation
Mesa Educational Consulting LLC offers a complimentary one-hour service consultation of professional services offered, scope of work and fees. A customized plan for training and support will be developed based on this initial consultation. Each plan is unique and geared to a school, district, or leadership needs.
